I’m sharing some “Sunshine” with you today! You will find details below for my upcoming Sunshine Wishes class and a yummy recipe full of sunshine at the bottom of this post! I’m starting however, with some insight on waiting… for sunshine.
It’s been a challenging Summer for me to work on any projects that require using my hands. I’ve been dealing with a “trigger thumb” since early Spring. And of course it’s on my dominate right hand that I need everyday. I thought I was just overworking it and tried to give it some rest. It’s amazing how much we use our thumb. We had a blessed Easter with family and friends celebrating our Risen Lord. It was such a treat to have ALL our kiddos home and even a few extra. The pic above of our table shows the calm before the storm. I think this is the first year I actually gave in and used paper and plastic plates. GASP!!! I know… I couldn’t believe it either. But as I was setting up the table Saturday night I didn’t want to spend my time on Easter hand washing all those china dishes. It’s okay to take a break some years and as our family continues to grow and move out our time with all of them here together is priceless. Continue reading

This past week and weekend was fully packed with lots of gift giving and blessings! I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. Not just any birthday… this was the BiG one! The BiG FIVE-0! When did that happen? Doesn’t seem possible.
